INDIANAPOLIS Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner, a potential firstround NFL draft pick Mason Crosby Youth Jersey by the Detroit Lions, said he plans to have surgery to repair his torn labrum on March 12 after the NFL Scouting Combine.

"It (shoulder) was fine," Milliner said. "Everybody knows I got a torn labrum. I'm going to have surgery on it. I know once I have surgery on it, I'll be back to 100 percent, back to the Sam Shields Womens Jersey normal player that I am."

Milliner believes he injured the shoulder during Alabama's 2924 loss against Texas A on November 10, 2012. He continued to play despite the injury, and even though he could of had surgery after that game, Milliner finished out Alabama's national championship season.

He contemplated having surgery after the championship game, but wanted to compete in the combine to solidify his status as the top cornerback in this draft.

"I know I'll have surgery, and I'll know back to normal, making plays," Milliner said. "That's why I wanted to come to the combine and do this just to show that I can move Sam Shields Youth Jersey around and do stuff with my arm hurt now."

Milliner is one of several possible firstround candidates who could join the Lions this year.

Detroit cornerbacks Chris Houston and Jacob Lacey are unrestricted free agents, and the Lions have not outwardly expressed their interest in resigning either player so far. Milliner potentially could start on day one if Detroit does not resign Houston or pursue another cornerback Mason Crosby Green Jersey in free agency.

Last season, Milliner finished with 54 tackles, 4.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, one forced fumble and two interceptions. He also led the SEC with 22 passes defended and earned First Team AllSEC honors.

The biggest knock against Milliner leading up to the draft is he lacks the talent of the firstround cornerbacks selected last year, but the former Alabama standout does not agree with that assessment.

"That's an opinion that somebody said, so hopefully when we do get drafted, the team that we go to we can showcase that we're good players, we got great skills here, and we can make plays just as well as the cornerbacks before us," Milliner said.
